Pitcher Trey Morris, Morris, a 6-foot-1 left-hander from Fresno, California, announced Monday that he was committing to Oregon State, posting on Twitter: “Corvallis is home, go Beavs.” He had been committed to Texas. Infielder Josh Proctor, shortstop/third baseman Josh Proctor also pledged to play for Oregon State. Proctor, who is from Altadena, California, had been committed to UCLA.
Morris and Proctor joined what is shaping up to be a standout 2025 OSU recruiting class, which ranks No. 18 in the nation, according to Perfect Game. The headliners of the 12-player class include third baseman Xavier Neyens, whom MLB.com considers the No. 3 prep prospect in the 2025 MLB draft, and shortstop Mason Pike, the No. 47 prospect in the draft, according to Baseball America.
