The biggest takeaway from the offense in the spring game was that the Beavers' vertical passing game is back in action.

Now, the Beavers weren’t perfect in executing the vertical game, as there were a few overthrows and drops that occurred with both Maalik Murphy and Gabarri Johnson at QB. However, there’s plenty of work to improve that part of the offense ahead of fall camp, but there were some positive moments on the passes down the field.

WSU President Talks About New PAC-12 Expansion

In an interview with the WSU student newspaper, she said, “I really would like to see a successful, at least high mid-tier conference, that doesn’t send student-athletes all over the country,” Cantwell said. “Let’s say west of the Mississippi … or let’s say on the Mississippi.”

The last part of that quote sure seems to refer to Memphis and/or Tulane. I don't know why she would say that if they weren't being considered for expansion.

Offense (Brogan)

It was a bright and sunny day for Thursday's practice. The vibes were high, and the offense was firing on all cylinders. The quarterback room proudly got its rhythm back after some rather shaky performances in the rain on Tuesday. All three offensive units that worked into the scrimmage looked sharp and executed smoothly in team drills.

One takeaway from the offensive side of the ball was that the Maalik Murphy to Trent Walker connection was alive and thriving. It seemed that Maalik couldn’t miss his favorite target, connecting on multiple TDs in the red zone offense. Walker also made multiple impressive catches along the sideline during 11-11’s. Sauce has all but officially defined himself as the go-to number one guy, a title he’s so deservingly earned.
