From the OSU SID:

Oregon State’s 2016-17 non-conference men’s basketball schedule includes seven games at Gill Coliseum, two in Portland and four true road contests, head coach Wayne Tinkle announced Tuesday.

“We are excited to announce the 2016-17 non-conference schedule,” Tinkle said. “Overall, it’s a very challenging schedule for this young team. We have 11 first- or second-year players in our program, so we’ll use these non-conference games to prepare us for what we know will be another loaded Pac-12 Conference.”

The season officially begins on Friday, Nov. 11 when Oregon State hosts Prairie View A&M at Gill Coliseum. The legendary venue in the “Best College Town in the Pac-12” will feature several new enhancements, including a state-of-the -art sound system and cameras being moved to the opposite side to showcase Oregon State’s student section, the OSU BeaverDam.

The Beavers will play two games at Moda Center in Portland for the second straight year. The Dam City Classic presented by Toyota features Oregon State vs. Long Beach State and Portland vs. South Dakota on Friday, Dec. 16 and Oregon State vs. Portland on Sunday, Dec. 18.

“We are looking forward to playing a couple of games up in Portland again to give back to that fan base for all of their support,” Tinkle said. “It’s a priority for us to annually play in Portland for Beaver Nation fans that live in that area. It should be an exciting atmosphere once again at the Moda Center.”

For the first time since 2010, Oregon State will play four non-conference games on an opponent’s home court -- Nov. 18 at Nevada, Nov. 22 at Tulsa, Dec. 1 at Mississippi State and Dec. 3 at Charlotte.

“We are playing four true road games for the first time in a long while,” Tinkle said. “That’s been a problem for us in conference play, so we felt it was vital to challenge our guys in the preseason this year. Games at Mississippi State, Charlotte, Tulsa and Nevada are very challenging road venues and quality teams. That will be a key for us and to build some toughness, which will be very important with this group.”

The Pac-12 released the weekly matchups and site designations last month. The final conference schedule will be announced in early September and include game times and television partners.

Oregon State is coming off a season in which it reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 26 years. The Beavers went 19-13 overall with wins over seven teams that advanced to the Big Dance. OSU finished in a three-way tie for sixth place in Pac-12 play with a 9-9 mark, its best conference record since 1993.

For returning ticket holders, season tickets will be $299 as part of the "Committ2Wayne" plan. New season tickets will be $349 for chair backs and $219 for bench seats.

Dam City Classic tickets will be included for all Oregon State men's basketball season ticket holders, giving fans a total of 19 games to watch in Corvallis and Portland during the 2016-17 season (including an exhibition game).

Tinkle’s third season at Oregon State features five games at Gill Coliseum in November. After the season opener versus Prairie View A&M on Friday, Nov. 11, the Beavers will host UTSA (Sunday, Nov. 13), Lamar (Wednesday, Nov. 16), Fresno State (Friday, Nov. 25) and Southern Oregon (Monday, Nov. 28).

The game against Fresno State will be held the evening before football’s Civil War at Reser Stadium.

Oregon State will have two games at Gill Coliseum in December -- Savannah State on Sunday, Dec. 11 and Kent State on Wednesday, Dec. 21, which is the final non-conference contest before Pac-12 play.

Oregon State concludes home-and-home series with road tilts at Nevada and Tulsa. The Beavers played both teams last season and defeated Nevada, 66-62, on Dec. 5 at Gill Coliseum and Tulsa, 76-71, on Dec. 19 at Moda Center.

Oregon State is also making return trips to Mississippi State and Charlotte as part of home-and-home contracts from past years. The Beavers knocked off Charlotte, 83-70, on Nov. 24, 2010 at Gill Coliseum and Mississippi State, 59-49, on Dec. 13, 2014 at Gill in Tinkle’s first season.
