Tommy Paul out of Sherwood HS committed on Tuesday. He's a RHP and about 6'4". He's been working this summer for me on my golf course crew. Great kid. Very very humble. Only info statistically speaking comes from his buddy Rich who also works on my crew. According to Rich, Tommy is a good pitcher who's taken the next step this summer. Claims that he's taken 3-4 no hitters into the 8th/9th before being pulled because of his pitch count. Velocity is in the 86-89 range but evidently OSU coaches say they've clocked him touching 90. He's been getting plenty of strike outs as well because Rich claims that there are a number of games where Tommy has been in the 15-16k range. The velocity is really intriguing to me cause this kid is skinny. Weight room and proper diet this guy could put on LOTS of good weight/strength which could see his velocity jump.
