Please correct me if I'm wrong, but by my count, there are four Beaver football players currently on the roster that started as walk ons and are now on scholarship.
Running back Jaylynn Bailey and offensive lineman Sam Curtius are the latest guys to be put on scholarship. Tight end Ricky Ortiz and offensive lineman Will Hopkins were originally walk ons and now are on scholarship.
Ortiz is a senior, the other three mentioned are juniors.
EDIT: Devin Chappell was originally a walk on that is now on scholly as well.
