First time I've heard this story.
Got time for a fun story about fans storming the field?

Oregon State was replacing the turf at Reser Stadium a couple of decades ago when a construction worker made an unusual find buried at the foot of one of the goalposts.
The contractor walked into the athletic department offices holding a framed photograph. It was a vintage picture of a bunch of celebrating college-aged kids who had stormed the field in Corvallis years earlier and snapped a grainy picture together under the goalpost.
Printed on the frame were the words:
“Rest in Peace, Julio.”
Julio, presumably, was one of the grinning people in the old photo. There are only two ways it could have ended up under the turf. Either someone snuck into the stadium at night, peeled open a seam, and buried it there. Or a fan jumped the rail at a subsequent OSU game and tucked the photo under the turf while everyone was distracted during some other post-game celebration.
What’s evident — it was put there by someone who wanted to honor a dead friend.
“What do you want us to do with it?” the construction worker asked.
The deputy AD thought for a moment, then said: “Go put it back.”
The construction worker was aghast.
“Put it back?”
“We’re not messing with Julio’s ghost,” the OSU staffer said. “We’ve been winning at home. We’re on a streak. Don’t f**k with Julio. Tuck it back under. Have you not seen ‘
Poltergeist’?”
As far as I know, Julio’s photo is still under the turf. If anyone in OSU’s athletic department gets any bright ideas about digging it up — just stop. The Beavers have won 19 of their last 22 games with Julio and his smiling friends beneath their cleats.
