Since it is a bye week and I was curious, I went through both Stanford and Oregon State's starting line-ups and went back to look at their Rivals Ratings when they signed. It isn't like we didn't know Stanford had more talent than the Beavers, but it was interesting none the less.
Typically those ratings are higher for the players who are more physically ready and are bigger, faster and stronger out of the gate. They are starting from a higher base and have a higher ceiling. There are always exceptions, but it was pretty true across the board on Friday night.
We are seeing it, but the Beavers need to add bigger and stronger guys. This group worked their tails off during the off season, but big and strong weren't always keys to Riley's recruiting and it shows against the strong powerful teams.
