NUGGETS

Offense (Ryan)

It was a very quiet day from the offense for the most part in practice, which, given the sunny weather at the Prothro Practice Fields, you’d think there would be a bit more excitement.

You’d think the passing game would dominate the day, but it was quite the opposite, with many drops during the team period portions of practice.

It was likely one of those practices where the defense won the day or just had an off day after a strong showing on Saturday in the closed-period portion of practice. I’m speculating a bit here since we didn’t see the offense this past Saturday in practice, but the issue around drops could change on Thursday or in the spring game.

Whatever the case for the offense and what’s causing those drops, if I had to give one receiver MVP honors in practice, that would be Zach Card. Card caught almost every ball thrown his way today, with two highlight plays in the team period portion of practice.
