Oregon State took to the field for their seventh day of spring practice on a cold, wet day in Corvallis. Here’s everything that happened.

*NOTE*: The first and second teams were pretty jumbled. It looked like a mix of first-team and second-team players on both units:

First Team Offense
QB: DJ Uiagalelei
RB: Isaiah Newell
WR: Rweha Munyagi Jr.
WR: Zach Card
TE; Carter Neuman
TE: Jermaine Terry
OL: Dylan Lopez
OL: Tommy Spencer
OL: Luka Vincic
OL Zach Holmes

Second Team Offense
QB: Ben Gulbranson
RB: Jam Griffin
TE: Jake Overman
WR: Rweha Munyagi Jr.
WR: Trevor Pope
WR: John Dunmore
OL: Tyler Morano
OL: Jake Levengood
OL: Jacob Strand
OL: Heneli Bloomfield
OL: Tanner Miller

First Team Defense
DL: James Rawls
DL: Joe Golden
DL: Sione Lolohea
LB: Makiya Tongue
LB: John Miller
DB: Ryan Cooper Jr
DB: Jaden Robinson
DB: Kitan Oladapo
DB: Skyler Thomas
DB: Tyrice Ivy Jr.

Second Team Defense
DL: Oluwaseyi Omotosho
DL: Thomas Collins
DL: Andrew Chatfield
DL: Kelze Howard
LB: Semisi Saluni
LB: John Miller
LB: Porter Phillips
DB: Joe Swen
DB: Akili Arnold
DB: Wynston Russell
DB: Sam Mason Jr.

-To start off: since it was the first practice out of the two-week break, it seemed like they were taking it pretty easy in practice. Most of the team drills were restricted to 20 yards and in. Didn’t get to see anything develop down the field for the trio of QBs who took a majority of the snaps under center.

-One of the few throws that made it downfield from Ben Gulbranson was picked off by a diving Akili Arnold, who made the play of the day on defense. Arnold was playing free safety and broke on a ball floating in no man’s land on the seam to his left and stepped right in front of the throw.

-Also saw a nice play from redshirt freshman Carlos Mack Jr., picking off Aidan Chiles on a bench route to the far sideline

-Redshirt sophomore DB Jack Kane nearly added a pick of his own, nearly intercepting a true duck of a pass from DJ Uiagalelei.

-In terms of best throws, I’ll have to give it to DJ today. Big No. 5 lofted a pretty wheel route to Isaiah Newell down the sideline nearest to us for about 20 yards in the air

-I was really excited to watch Chiles, and the first time seeing him, he showed off some of his special tools. That guy can really run, showing his burst on a scramble to the far side of the field, but he showed a bit of his freshman-level experience as a passer.

-Late in practice, Chiles fumbled a snap that was supposed to be a WR screen to the near side, picked up the ball in a collapsing pocket and chucked it towards the mass of DBs and WRs hoping someone would catch it. Somehow it was not intercepted.

-Chiles followed it up with a much nicer sequence, putting some nice velocity on a throw to new TE Riley Sharp on a naked rollout to his right and throwing on the run.

-Next practice for Oregon State gets underway on Saturday, however, it’s closed to the media… We’ll be back on Tuesday, April 11th.
