There were a couple, I think, offers for some big time interior lineman that went out on Saturday.
Does anyone think it is possible that we pulled out heads out of asses and actually capitalized on exposure (whether good OR bad).
It is obvious to us here on the board and any OSU fan that our defense is lacking elite interior lineman, however the same may not be true for kids around the country. You have to assume EVERY coach brings the “chance to play right away” pitch when recruiting, however, in our case Tibs and staff can literally tell a five star DT, that they are the missing piece for this rebuild and can be a game changer (a la Ed Simon or whatever his name is at Houston) just look at the tape.
I was pleasantly surprised that the recruiting staff timed those offers (mike, how does that actually work) that they were posted on Twitter during or shortly after the game?
It appears there is a lot happening behind the scenes with the ideation team.
Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts, what can we do that will separate us from everyone else in the twitter-cruitment of these kids?
