Stanford held off a late rally by ASU to win the first game of the tournament 8-7. By my understanding, all OSU has. to do is beat Stanford and they will be guaranteed a spot in the semifinals (of course we want to win all the games to have a better chance of being a national seed). Unlike last year, I think we got a favorable draw as ASU and Stanford don't have good pitching this year (they are the bottom two conference teams in ERA and WHIP).
