For the first time in Pac-12 history, a two-seed has won the Pac-12 Women's Basketball Championship Game.

Oregon State was the No. 1 seed; Stanford was the No. 2 seed.

The Beavers started the game hot - hitting their first six field goals and ended the first quarter with a 22-12 lead.

However, the next three quarters were not very kind to Oregon State.

They scored just seven points equally in the second, third, and fourth quarters. It's very safe to say that the Beavers mightily struggled shooting the ball after the first quarter.

Oregon State started the game with a 16-3 lead. Stanford was taking away Sydney Wiese's scoring with double teams as she received the ball, but Mikayla Pivec and Marie Gulich were knocking down shots from the outside with success.

The Beavs had a horrendous second quarter offensively but Wiese knocked down a buzzer beater three point shot as they Beavers led 29-23 going into the locker room.

Stanford came out swinging in the third quarter and ended up stealing the lead in the fourth quarter at 38-36.

Stanford's tough defense led them to the finish line with a 48-43 victory.

Even though Oregon State fell in the Pac-12 Championship Game, there is no dispute that they won three consecutive Pac-12 regular season titles. They are also likely to be a two seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Even if they had beaten Stanford on Sunday, who they have already beaten twice this season, it was unlikely they would've been a one seed in the Tournament.

Wiese scored 13 points for the Beavers and center Marie Gulich scored 10.
