• Women’s Basketball is No. 7 in the Associated Press Preseason Poll; it’s the highest preseason ranking ever for the program.

NATIONAL HONORS

• Joel Walker(Colorado Springs, Colo.) was named to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week after scoring a goal and recording two assists against UCLA.

PAC-12 CROSS COUNTRY

Oregon State hosts the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships on Nov. 1 at the Ash Creek Preserve Course in Monmouth, Ore. The men’s 6k is slated for 11:10 a.m. while the women’s race begins at 12:10 p.m.

FOOTBALL

• Saturday’s game at Arizona is a 1:40 p.m. PDT start on the Pac-12 Networks.
• Beavers are aiming for their first three-game road win streak since 2013.
• The Beavers, as a team, have a Pac-12 leading 60 tackles-for-loss this season. That is more than the 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 teams had their entire seasons.
• Jake Luton (Marysville, Wash.) has now thrown 15 touchdown passes to Isaiah Hodgins (Oakley, Calif.). That ties for the third-most between a QB and wide receiver in OSU history.
• Isaiah Hodgins (Oakley, Calif.) has 745 receiving yards this season, second in the Pac-12 and 12thnationally. He is the Conference leader for receiving yards per game at 106.4 which ranks ninth in the country.
• Hodgins’ 1,896 career receiving yards is ninth at OSU; he needs 147 yards to catch Robb Thomas for eighth. He is also seventh for career touchdown receptions (17).
• Hodgins has accounted for a first down or touchdown on 90 of his last 115 receptions.
• Hamilcar Rashed Jr. (Phoenix, Ariz.) leads the Pac-12 in both tackles-for-loss (14.5) and sacks (9.0) – both rank fourth in the country.
• Rashed Jr.’s nine sacks this season are tied for ninth-most in a year at OSU. He is three shy of Maurice Porter (1982) and Victor Butler (2008) whose 12 each are the program’s standard.
• OSU’s offensive line has allowed 33 tackles-for-loss, the second-fewest in the Pac-12.
• Artavis Pierce (Lake Alfred, Fla.) is 163 rushing yards short of being the 11th Beaver to hit the 2,000-yard mark. He has seven carries of 20-plus yards this season to lead the Pac-12.
• Punter Daniel Rodriguez (Pleasanton, Calif.) is the first Beaver to earn two Pac-12 Player of the Week honors in the same season since QB Sean Mannion in 2013.
• Run game coordinator/offensive line coach/associate head coach Jim Michalczik was Arizona’s offensive line coach 2013-17.
• OSU has committed the fewest turnovers of any team in the country with two interceptions; both came on deflected passes.
• Offensive lineman Blake Brandel (Milwaukie, Ore.) has started 43 consecutive games, tied for the third-longest in school history.
• Center Nathan Eldridge (Anthem, Ariz.) was a member of the Arizona Wildcats from 2015-18.
• OSU and Arizona co-lead the league for third-down conversion percentage at 46.9 percent.
BASKETBALL (Men)

• Defeated Carroll College, 79-60, in an exhibition game on Oct. 23 and Warner Pacific, 96-45, in an exhibition game on Oct. 29.
• The regular-season opener is Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. against Cal State-Northridge at Gill Coliseum. The game will be televised on Pac-12 Oregon.
• In returning production in the Pac-12, Oregon State is second in scoring (70.1%), rebounding (75.4%), assists (76.1%), steals (71.4%), and blocks (86.6%).
• Tres Tinkle(Missoula, Mont.) was selected to the preseason All-Pac-12 First Team, Ethan Thompson(Los Angeles) was named to the preseason All-Pac-12 Second Team and Kylor Kelley(Gervais, Ore.) earned preseason All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention recognition.
• Tinkle has scored 1,661 career points, the seventh most in Oregon State history; he needs 512 points to pass Gary Payton (2,172) and become the all-time leading scorer in school history.
• Kylor Kelley had an Oregon State record 104 blocked shots last season; he needs 81 blocks this season to become the all-time leader in program history.
• Ethan Thompson has started all 63 games in his first two years at Oregon State.
• The Beavers shot 74.2 percent (472-636) from the free throw line last season; it was their best percentage in a season since the 1976-77 team shot 74.3 percent (355-for-478).
• Wayne Tinkle is 5-0 in season openers at Oregon State.

BASKETBALL (Women)

• The Beavers will play their second exhibition game Friday, when Concordia (Ore.) visits Gill Coliseum. Admission to the game is free.
• Oregon State will play USA Basketball in an exhibition contest on Monday at Gill Coliseum at 7 p.m. The game is on the Pac-12 Network.
• Mikayla Pivec(Lynnwood, Wash.) was named to the All-Pac-12 Preseason Team and has been nominated for the Senior CLASS Award – presented to an individual who excels in community, classroom, character and competition.
• Oregon State’s regular season schedule features eight games against teams ranked in the preseason AP Poll. The Beavers’ could face a ninth ranked foe if they meet DePaul in the WNIT.
• The Beavers have set a new record for season ticket sales this year, the sixth-straight season they have reached a new mark.

GOLF (M-W)

• The Men’s Golf team concludes the fall season at a tournament in Pebble Beach, Calif., Monday-Wednesdsay.
• The Women’s Golf team also completes the fall season at the Pac-12 Preview in Kona, Hawai’i Monday-Wednesday.
GYMNASTICS

• Gymnastics single meet tickets went on sale this week. The Beavers have high-profile home meets against SEC power LSU (Feb. 8) as well as Pac-12 rivals Stanford (Feb. 2), UCLA (Feb. 29) and Washington (March 6).
ROWING (Men)

• The men’s rowers raced at the Portland Fall Classic on Lake Vancouver last Sunday winning the Men’s Collegiate 8 competition.
• The Beavers return to action on Sunday at the Head of the Lake Regatta in Seattle.

ROWING (Women)

• Oregon State travels to Spokane Saturdayfor the Silver Lake Head Race Dual against Gonzaga and Washington State.

SOCCER (Men)

• The team is 7-5-1 overall and second in the Pac-12 at 4-2-1.
• The team is idle this week, before returning to Lorenz Field for three-straight home games to end the regular season, beginning Thursday Nov. 7 vs. Stanford.
• The Beavers earned a road sweep last week, taking down San Diego and UCLA. The win over the Bruins marked the first road victory over UCLA in program history.
• The Beavers have not played a home match since Sept. 22.
• Joel Walker leads the Beavers with six goals this season, including four in the Beavers’ seven Pac-12 matches.
• SofianeDjeffal(Nantes, France) has moved into a tie for eighth in program history with 13 career assists

SOCCER (Women)

• Oregon State (10-4-2, 2-4-2) welcomes a pair of ranked opponents to Lorenz Field this week when the Beavers play host to No. 13 UCLA (11-4-1, 5-3-0) on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. on Pac-12 Oregon before facing No. 11 USC (12-3-1, 5-3-0) on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m.
• The Beavers picked up their 10th win of the season last weekend after defeating Arizona State, 3-1. This marks the first time OSU will finish a season with at least 10 wins since 2012 when the Beavers held a final overall record of 11-6-3.
• Sophomore Bridgette Skiba (Portland, Ore.) is in the top-five in the following categories in the Pac-12: solo-shutouts (tied for second), goals-against average (fourth - .850), saves (fourth – 55) and save percentage (fifth - .797).
• OSU sits fourth in the Pac-12 in fewest goals allowed (14) and goals-against average (0.840) while also being fifth in total goals (30). Nationally, OSU is 51stin goals-against average.
• Oregon State has outscored opponents this season, 30-14, while outshooting them 232-208.
• Redshirt sophomore McKenzie Weinert(Milwaukie, Ore.) scored her ninth goal on the season last week against ASU. Weinert currently sits sixth for goals in the Pac-12 and eighth in total points (21).
• The Beaver newcomers have been a large contributing factor for Oregon State’s success with freshman Brianna McReynolds (Glendale, Calif.) scoring five goals and contributing five assists while freshman Abby Schwartz (Port Moody, B.C.) has scored five goals, including two game-winning goals, and added one assist this season. In total, five newcomers to the 2019 roster have combined for 34 of OSU’s 85 points to date.

VOLLEYBALL

• The Beavers (9-12, 3-7) open the second half of Pac-12 play on the road in the Bay Area this week. OSU takes on No. 5 Stanford (14-4, 8-2) on Friday and No. 20 California (17-3, 7-3) on Saturday. Friday’s match against the Cardinal will be televised on Pac-12 Bay Area.
• The volleyball team came back from a two sets to none deficit to defeat Arizona in five last Friday. It was the first such come back by the Beavers since beating Wyoming in a five-set match in 2011.
• Junior libero Grace Massey (Beaverton, Ore.) moved past Shelly Smith (1991-94) on OSU’s all-time career digs list taking over the fifth spot. Massey has 1,335 digs in her career.
