Oregon State became the first Pac-12 program to offer 2018 Mill Creek (Wash.) Jackson wide receiver Daniel Arias this week and he's already looking at a visit to Corvallis.
"Man it's really exciting. I'm the happiest guy right now," Arias told Rivals of his offer from the Beavers. "[Phillips said] they're really happy for me and can't wait to see me in person when I come to visit this spring. I'm thinking of taking a visit there sometime this spring around March."
OSU wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator Jason Phillips extended the offer to Arias and the Beavers have been one of the main schools of interest prior to offering.
Montana State first offered Arias roughly a week ago while Central Michigan, Washington and others have shown interest. This weekend Arias will take a visit to Montlake for the Huskies' Junior Day.
"I'm really excited to learn more about the school and the staff there," Arias said of his upcoming visit to UW. "I don't have a school that I want to go to at the moment, but I'm really excited to learn about the schools that are interested in me."
Washington linebackers coach and special teams coordinator Bob Gregory has started to develop a relationship with Arias and the trip this weekend could bring a lot more clarity to where he stands with the Huskies.
With UW wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator Bush Hamdan expected to take a position with the Atlanta Falcons the Huskies are going to likely hold off on an offer until the coaching changes are sorted out.
Regardless, Arias is a prospect to watch moving forward out of the Pacific Northwest.
