I was starting to feel the dread of this season slipping away. USC had already beaten us twice, so to speak. Now we were laying an egg at Stanford and we didn't appear to have a QB or an identity. Our defense was playing like Tibs was the DC again. The upcoming trip to Corvallis for Homecoming was losing its sheen.
....but now, thanks to a MIRACLE by Tre'Shaun (okay and 21 other dudes) it feels like Oregon State has gotten off the mat!
Was it pretty? No. Can we learn from it? Certainly. Will we grow from it? I sure hope so. In particular, I hope it infuses young Gulbranson with some confidence and swagger. He has the arm, he just needs to see the field better and have more pocket presence. It would help if the OL would play with the heart I know they are capable of, and if Ben can be given plays that have him making two reads (maybe three) then getting rid of it. Also, how about a hot route so that if the blitz is on he knows what to do with it?
, I'm digressing....
....what I was going to say is that all of a sudden I think our season has been "re-booted" and I can't wait to be in Corvallis and Reser for what has become a big game! We have a chance to sting the 'Cougs as they reel from their tough loss to USC (all too familiar, right?) and go to 5-2 with a game against listing CU next.
Let's GO Beavs!!!
