A lot was made last week about Collins performance against Michigan and Stanford and how we left opportunities out on the field. I decided to look at how other QBs have fared against the Wolverines so far in the passing game.
Utah: 73% 210 yards 0 TD 1 INT
Collins: 56% 79 yards 1 TD 0 INT (McMaryion was 0/3)
UNLV: 54% 143 yards 1 TD 2 INT
BYU: 43% 55 yards 0 TD 0 INT
Maryland: 28% 76 yards 0 TD 3 INT
Travis Wilson is the only QB to pass for 200 yards and the only to break 60% completions. Collins is the only QB to throw a TD and not turn the ball over and had the 2nd best completion percentage this year against Michigan. So far the Wolverines are top 5 in basically every defensive category -- obviously that doesn't excuse missing plays or no first downs in the second half but I don't really think that loss is anything to look down on at this point.
