Over the last 5 years, Nemec's coverage of Duck/Beaver recruiting has changed from 'duck lean' to using his Oregon Live platform as UO hype machine and recruiting tool. It's way past obvious and while I don't think it helps the duck's recruiting, the effort is ever increasing, and he no longer tries to hide it. Whether its generating a duck bromance between Hufanga and Devon Williams or his latest matchmaking scheme with Sewell and Keith Brown, he's trying way too hard. Last year he mocked Coach Smith's methods and recruiting class. It was a cheap shot. Tonight, he proclaimed that the Oregon Ducks are the new USC in recruiting. Nemec's always been a duck cheerleader, but this is getting embarrassing.
