OK, I'm a little hazy this morning. This might have been explained before but I'm confused about what an "offer" entails and what a "commit" entails. A little info from some of you who are on top of these technicalities will really help me better understand this process.
1. Does an offer (say from the Beavs) involve official paperwork? Or, is it essentially a verbal "promise" (offer)?
2. Is the U. obligated to honour its offer?
3. If not, how does it withdraw an offer?
4. The Beavs have dozens and dozens of offers out. Hypothetically, what would happen if this week 30 athletes announced they were accepting their offer from the Beavs?
5. When an athlete (Ferguson, for example) says that he has offers from 6 major programs how does one verify that? Or do they?
