Oregon State faced a challenge in putting together its 2025 schedule as an independent program, but it managed to put together a slate that shouldn't hamstring its postseason efforts at all.

Oregon State head coach Mitch Canham was at Disneyland with his family when he got the call giving him the go-ahead to start working the phones and building out a 2025 schedule for the Beavers as an independent program.
“It was just nonstop networking as soon as I got the okay to pursue this route,” Canham recalled. “Actually, we were in Disneyland. We had a two-day trip to take the kids down to Disneyland, and then I don’t think sleep was an option after that.”
“At first it’s like ‘well, okay, here’s some options on conferences,’ and I said ‘to be honest with you, I’d rather go this route right now,’ because it’s different and it’s difficult, but at the same time, the opportunity of what Oregon State stands for—being blue collar, hard working—I think if anyone can navigate that space, I bet on us.”
