Colorado and Syracuse have filed the necessary paperwork with the NCAA requesting the ability to hold spring practices and a spring game in April.

Syracuse coach Fran Brown quoted on ON3:

“I’m just waiting on the NCAA to come back to allow us to do this, so this could be huge for college football,” Brown said. “So people are being able to do this and having this opportunity, I think this will help us a lot.

“They should be getting back to us by the end of this week. As soon as they asked for it, we gave it to them within the next hour. Boom, boom, boom. We should get some news back in the next two days. This will be great for college football. We need this. Just think, when we get to play Colorado, because I’m saying we, I’m trying to speak ahead, it’ll be a packed stadium. We’ll get a chance to compete. Now we’re not going to do a full game, all those things like that, but we’re going to treat it just like a regular scrimmage would normally be. And then me and coach are just going to help each other, get our teams better so we can go out and compete. But it’s good for the fans, it’s good for college football.”
