CORVALLIS, Ore. – Tres Tinkle scored 24 points and Ethan Thompson narrowly missed a rare triple double with 20 points, and game highs of 13 rebounds and nine assists, but Oregon State (17-11, 9-7) lost another hearbreaker Sunday in Gill Coliseum to Arizona State (20-9, 11-6), 74-71.

The Beavers' last three losses have been by a combined six points.

The Sun Devils erased a seven-point halftime deficit that was created by an OSU 8-0 run to end the first period. ASU made 6 of 11 three-point field goals in the final half and shot an overall 56 percent for the last 20 minutes to defeat the Beavers in one of the most physical Pac-12 Conference games of the season.

Stephen Thompson Jr. and Gligorije Rakocevic played their final regular season games in Gill Coliseum and both were honored pregame on senior day in front of 6,023 fans. Thompson Jr., scored 10 points to round out the trio of Beavers in double figures.

ASU was led by Luguentz Dort's 20 points and 10 rebounds.

The Beavers hit the road for their final two regular season games, beginning with a stop in Seattle on Wednesday to play Washington at 7 p.m. The game will be televised on Pac-12 Network.
