Congratulations to Andrew Moore for picking up his fourth PAC 12 Pitcher of the Week award. From the OSU release...

Andrew Moore faced the minimum in a complete game shutout of No. 25 California on Friday night, and was named the Pac-12 Conference’s Player of the Week on Monday.

Additionally, he was named one of six national players of the week by Collegiate Baseball.

It is Moore’s third Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week award, and fourth of his career, tying him with Jace Fry for fourth-most in a career at Oregon State.

The honor comes for good reason as he shut down the Golden Bears in the series opener. He struck out 13, a season-high and just one shy of tying his career best. He did so while allowing a fourth-inning single and seventh-inning double. Both hits were later erased via double plays.

Moore’s win was his seventh of the season and he lowered his earned run average to 1.73, which ranks second in the Pac-12. He also lowered his batting average against to a Pac-12 best .192.

Moore has been even better against conference competition, going 6-1 with 1.51 ERA. He averaged nearly eight innings per start in Pac-12 play and opponents batted just .188 against him.
