From 2011 to 2012, the Beavers tied for the largest turnaround, from the prior year, of any team in the nation, at +6....3-9 in 2011, to 9-4 in 2012. Are there any similarities between that situation, and what we find ourselves in right now?
I think there are significant areas of similarity. For instance, coach Anderson said in the press conference "...there's nothing like a reps. Reps are killers." Last year those guys were young (especially on Defense) some of them probably too young. They got pushed around a bit. But, (in addition to another year of conditioning...getting bigger and stronger) they got reps. "Reps are killers".
I'm not saying the Beavers are going to win 9 games this season, however I do think a 5-6 game increase is possible...especially counting The Bowl Win.
It's not like it hasn't happened around here before...
