Looks like they are on the cusp of giving Chip the axe and my guess is that Coach Smith may be at the top of their wish list. The campus is only 45 miles away from Glendora (Niners home town) and we all know that there is no place like home. I was not too worried about the other job openings in the south and mid-west as there is no real connection with Coach Smith but LA and the certainty of playing in the BIG could be enough to lure him away. Fingers crosse that they give Chipper another year to figure it out.....
