Hey Edgers! I'll have the full video when it's available, but here are some key pieces of info from Smith's presser...
- Chance Nolan returned to practice today - Smith said he returned in a limited fashion and his status for Friday is unclear. He said he wasn't able to partake in the full session, but said they'll see how he responds during the week. Smith said as of today, Ben would likely start vs UW, but said they'll see how the week goes...
- Everett Hayes also returned to practice - Smith said they're hoping to have him back Friday as he's close, but said they've got a lot of confidence in Atticus Sappington if he's unable to go...
- Marco Brewer won't play against UW and will be out for the foreseeable future with an undisclosed injury... Smith said he'll be out for a couple of months... Look for Heneli Bloomfield, who has filled in for Brewer several times this season, to step in at the left guard spot...
- Smith confirmed that Alton Julian won't play this season...
- Smith said the bye came at a good time this year. Got a chance to give the guys some rest while also getting a little extra prep on UW...
- Smith said they're preparing for the conditions (rain + wind + crowd noise) by practicing outside, working on various cadences, and piping in crowd noise at practice.
- Smith said they aren't paying a ton of attention to the rankings midseason, but says it's a great recognition of all the hard work this year's group has put in...
