READ: 2025 QB planning on a return to Corvallis this fall

A 2025 quarterback out of California has informed BeaversEdge that he is planning a return trip to Corvallis in September.

Jaylen Johnson, a dual-threat quarterback out of Enterprise High School in Redding, California, who has offers from FIU, Georgia State, Hawaii, and Morgan State, is currently planning on returning to Corvallis for the Beavers' week three matchup against the San Diego Aztecs.

Johnson is considered one of the top quarterbacks in the entirety of California in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Last season, he totaled over 2,000 total yards and 27 touchdowns as a sophomore and could be in for a huge junior season this fall.

Oregon State has offered seven quarterbacks currently in the 2025 recruiting cycle, six of them out of California, including TJ Lateef, Madden Iamaleava, and Bear Bachmeier. The Beavers are also looking for a quarterback still in their 2024 recruiting class that holds 13 commitments so far.

While Johnson does not hold an offer yet from the Beavers, one could be coming in the near future as the 6-foot-2 signal caller puts out his early junior tape. If Johnson were to receive an offer from Oregon State, the Beavers would likely become an immediate favorite for Johnson, who has established a good relationship with the coaching staff over his recruitment so far.
