All of the gripes that were shared on this forum through the years about Riley have been fixed by the present staff.
Remember the posting about the need to play a hurry up O. Well it is going to be done.
Also the posting about mixing in some read option, well it is being done..
Uncomplicating the play book to help q development, once again it is being done.
Showing some different looks and innovation on O, once again.
Getting rid of dead weight and not playing favorites, I believe this staff is all business.
Having scrimmages to get them ready for the season, my favorite bitch, well guess what, we are going full bore.
Attitude about caring and transferring that to the team, totally encouraged by this staff.
My question would be if Riley had listened to the rumblings and had been willing to change some things, like the above would he have been more successful and would he still be coach?? I believe it is too bad that such a good man that has done so much for OSU sports became so convinced that his system would continue to work, even though the game had changed so drastically the last 4 or 5 years. I wish Riley good luck and success in Nebraska and he may have some for a few years because the big ten ( excluding Ohio State) is still playing catch up to the new schemes in college ball, long term unless he changes and becomes more business minded I can't see it.
