Was told that contract has not been renewed. Not sure by who OSU or Surprise. Was told this was started by Casey and not sure Mitch wanted to continue. With spring training games stating a little earlier this year that might have been the reason.
I would be surprised if they were not in Phoenix area as this is a great place to start baseball for the players and fans.
Anyone else heard this?
Also, spent last weekend at the Mary Nutter Softball Challenge in Palm Springs. Four days of great softball. Sunday USA Olympic team played UCLA. USA won 7-2. USA pitcher Monica Abbott was fantastic.
I loved going to Surprise for the games, hope AZ is still in the picture.
