So much hate on this board. Fans against fans. Fans against coaches. Fans against players. Time to turn hate to the outside. And what better time to do that than Civil War week. Honestly, this may just be more venting than anything else, but I'm sure many of you share in my feelings.
I am so annoyed by duck fans. Awful, obnoxious, righteous and arrogant. Their fan base has the arrogance of UW, Michigan, Alabama and others, without the decades long history or tradition. Perfect duck story from work happened two weeks, before hole played Stanford:
duck fan on Friday: "Man Stanford favored by double digits. I think it's heading that way. I would definitely take Stanford and the points right now"
Same fan on Monday: "Hey, did you bet on Stanford? A lot of people did and lost their butts!"
Dude, you told me on Friday that you'd bet against uo. Shut the hell up.
Then today, another bag fan comes into my office: "What happened to your boys" she says, as if she hasn't watched all year long. You know what happened. They've been bad all year long. Did you really think the result would be any different? No, you didn't. You just wanted the chance to rub it in. Like you do every Monday all year long. Then she said the words that I hate whenever their fans say it:
"I root for Oregon State except against Oregon!"
No. You don't. And if you do, you say it like you're doing me a GD favor. I never asked you to root for OSU. I don't want you to root for OSU. They say it such a condescending manner that my blood boils every time I hear it.
