Apparently wasn’t their first choice. Sounds like, despite a huge AD budget and the most storied history of baseball success, baseball just isn’t a priority. USC has the the name, resources, history and location that they could have gone after almost anyone. The one deficiency they can’t easy solve is LA isn’t very interested in college baseball.
