So much to type this morning, I don't know where to start. Yep, the Beavs are the worst team in the PAC 12 right now and it isn't even close, this is going to take time, but I still believe that Andersen and his staff have the vision and skills to take the Beavers to the next level (and no I'm not trying to 'sell' anyone anything.)

I won't call out players. They've all been wonderful for me to interview and to deal with. They make Oregon State proud, but many aren't PAC 12 level talent, bottom line. No knock on them. I was a smart kid out of high school, but I didn't belong at Stanford. It is what it is.

OSUProf had clearly laid out the statistics, but the recruiting efforts have declined when the rest of the conference has elevated. I've seen some here in The Lodge say that Riley became 'lazy' because of his lifetime contract. No. Not at all.

Riley continued to work hard, but I'm not sure he worked smart in all of his decisions, especially in his loyalty to certain assistants.

The rhetoric that they weren't given the resources is a falsity. The money was in place for Riley and staff to take private jets for example, it was Riley that chose not to use them.

Injuries and lack of talent have severely hurt the Beavers this season. Too many whiffs in recruiting and guys that never made it. I look at QB recruiting over the years which should have been a Riley strength, really wasn't. Mannion, Wheaton and Cooks were able to mask deficiencies elsewhere, but without them we see where the Beavers really are (and we saw it last year with Mannion's struggles).

I personally think that Riley and his staff felt that they could develop talent, which is somewhat true, but with hudl so readily available, the diamonds in the rough just aren't as hidden any longer. With the rest of the conference elevating their skills sets, you can't afford to take fliers on possible players who won't be physically ready for at least 2-3 years.

Oregon State was thin to begin with, but injuries have severely impacted the team. The Beavers dressed 74 players yesterday. 74 players were available for a home game. Normally 95-105 dress for home games. This is the reality of where this team is...

Guys are battling. Coaches are doing what they can, but the players are completely overmatched. Many simply aren't big enough, fast enough or strong enough to compete the entire game in the PAC 12. Yesterday the Beavers started three former walk-ons on defense, two of whom came in playing offense.

Beavers are looking at a complete overhaul (which we knew). Patience is tough, I get it, but that is where we are at right now.

....but what I will say is that there is hope. Hope that this staff will turn things around and I honestly believe they will. Just look at recruiting right now. They are selling their vision and getting guys on board that want o be a part of this rebuild and have the skill sets the staff believes they will need to do just that.
