I pulled this from another thread just because It really was WAY off topic from what the thread was about... but I felt it warranted a discussion
however I've noticed the same thing... and nothing against Angie, or Eric or anyone else who has something to say about the coaches, good or bad, as long as it's backed by facts (I may not agree, and we may have a long discussion, but it's just that, a discussion not me saying anyone is wrong) BUT, if it's said by Goe or Lindsey, or (insert writer here) it's immediately attacked, especially if they're an Oregon Alum. while I have seen SOME things written that have a very greenishpuke tinge to them... I don't think they're ALLWAYS that way. there was a article at the start of the season Goe wrote that someone started a thread and went off... I read the article, he was spot on... saying we have too many questions and lots of work ahead of us...
I think, as much as we like to talk shit about the Ucks and their fans for being out of touch with reality... I think a few are OBSESSED with the Ucks when it comes to everything they do is evil, if they mention the Beavs it's to trash us, if they succeed they're cheating... Get over it! The ducks are no more evil than any other damn school out there. They're our rivals... I dislike them... however I also respect what they've done... they've had some damn good teams over the last 10 years... they've DOMINATED us, and the rest of the pac 12... To be honest, right now... they don't give a shit about us... we're no threat to them... we're a punchline... while I can't stand Oregon, it's pure ignorance to view everything done by them or an alum as anti beaver. I can't wait until we've turned the tables and the Civil War is competitive. but this obsession with everything Green and Yellow being evil is tired and makes us look pathetic.
