Game (full disclosure: first time I met him, as he was talking to a former player a who's a kid I coached in youth sports an eon ago . . ) and he was saying goes that (I believe it was ) Heinrich should be a HS sr. right now (enrolled early) and that he believed that that (having guys enroll early) was going to be the wave of the future for 'ensuring' you got guys out of HS, as you keep them out of draft consideration and they're only 20 yr's old after being here for 3 years.
He also said he went to the Saturday scrimmage, and that after watching one practice there was NO WAY we would finish last in the north this year . . . Difference between practice organization and pace was night and day from previous staff (and I'm a Riley guy; still am . . ).
Thought I'd just share his observation as I know a Lotta Blitzer respected his opinion/coverage of Da Beavs . . .and if you read this Brooks and you think I 'mis' paraphrased you, feel free to correct me . .
