Beautiful day in Corvallis for practice today. Not a huge turnout of fans which surprised me.
Jack Del Rio was on hand as was Markus Wheaton and a handful of unofficial visitors (Crist, Kizer, Noyer and three players from Oregon City...sorry in car), along with official visitor Leo Fuimaono.
It was the first day in pads and the coaches let the guys get after it. Defense is way ahead of the offense right now and ï¸Andersen was not thrilled with the performance of the O, especially during the second half of practice.
Darrell Songy stood out and was called out by Andersen as a player who played with energy and made plays.
ï¸Andersen said that the QB's would be whittled down soon as there are too many taking snaps right now. In my opinion is say four look ahead of everyone: Del Rio, Mitchell, VanderVeen and Collins. The freshman showed some good things with his legs today.
More coming a bit later...luckily Eric drove so I could type a few thoughts.
