I know there's been a lot of talk about Ryan and his lack of use as a RB. I also love his production and how he plays the game. To me though, it's not a question of why isn't he getting more carries at RB, the real question is where is his best position?

I know he's been at H Back and now RB, but I'd think if you had a 6' 2", 250lb + athlete who has the athleticism to compete at RB yet hits like a ton of bricks you'd have the ideal ILB. Given our troubles on defense, I'm surprised he's not over there.

I know we're short on RBs too and I love his wrecking ball running, but I think we all know his future at RB beyond college is questionable at best; he's just not quick or fast enough for the next level. But, with his size, speed and athleticism he has all.the skills needed to be an all American LB in college and succeed in the pros, IMHO. With all the talk and realization of how slow and undersized we are across the board, why wouldn't the staff take one of the few players we have who has the ideal size and speed for such a critical position as ILB build from there. Nall.and Mageo at ILB would be a great start at building a defense from the inside out.

I trust this staff completely, and know they have a great plan in place, just making an observation from a defensive POV. I think Nall has a chance to be a high draft pick in the NFL at ILB, hope we see him there next year, especially if he's not going to get extensive PT as a RB.
