SBW and CB both looked hesitant to hit the hole hard in the WS game. Remniscent of the Riley backs the last few years dancing trying to find a hole. I typically sit on the old side but sat in the end zone with friends/family and it was obvious that several times there was a hole but the lack of confidence and willingness to attack the hole by the RB's prevented a big play from occurring. Early season nerves, lack of confidence, lack of action by SBW and CB during fall camp, or some other issue? Running back play was underwhelming especially for a game against a lower division team. I will say that WS familiarity with Oregon State coaches and philsophy probably had something to do with our difficulty to string anything together in the first half.
