Just thought I would throw this out there today as we get ready for the game.
My Random Guy Who Is Playing Great would have to be Devin Chappell. That dude is a walk on who transferred from Western Oregon because he knew he could do more. He sat out a year, dominated on scout team and now is making a ton of plays for the Beavers. I really hope this Junior gets a scholarship next year because he has earned it. While reviewing the game for my Trench Report, I kept seeing him make plays, huge tackles in space. In SJS 3rd drive, his open field tackle killed their momentum and forced them into a passing situation which resulted in a sack/tackle for loss. He is a sure tackler and someone that has shown he is more than capable of making plays at this level.
Anyway, I wanted to give this Thurston High Graduate a shout out because his play on the field forced me to. For the sake of conversation, who is your Random Guy Playing Great that you wanted to call out? (If you need someone, Vanderveen blocking would be a good one...)
