Absolutely huge game for OSU today. They need to win one (and get some help) or two more games in order to lock-up the 6th seed. A win over Cal would give OSU an additional 1 game lead on the Bears and the tie-breaker over them as well. A win over Oregon would give OSU a tie-breaker advantage over ASU. So, it is a big 4 day stretch for Coach Tinkle's team.

That being said, it's probably not the best time for a 6-7 man rotation to have flu-issues and broken noses. The good news is the Beavers had 3 full days off, but the bad news is that they're playing on the road. The road woes, death issues, improving health of Jordan Mathews, and resurgence of Jabari Bird might be too much for OSU today. Cal won't shoot lights out from 3 against OSU's zone, but they're got guards who can offense rebound well. David Kravish's skill set is also very well suited for zone offense. However, Cal will turnover the ball and struggles to make free throws.

I see Cal pulling away in a close game, 65-61 (predictions 12-4 on the season). This sets up a HUGE Civil War on Wednesday, with OSU still having a shot at 6th.

* 6th place will likely play UW in the nightcap Wed 3/10 and then Oregon Thursday 3/11. I like this route to the semis.
