Check out Marcus Greaves' practice report from OSU's 5th overall practice and 2nd practice in Bend.

- This was hands down the best I have seen the defense play. They were flying to the ball and they had some sort of fire lit within them, because the guys on that side of the ball had some serious juice today.
- The defensive backs today were men amongst boys. It seemed like every ball that was in the air they took away. their coverage was outstanding.
- Safety Drew Kell was on another level today, knocking down multiple passes and playing great defense. It's easy to see the kid is working hard as ever for some playing time outside of special teams.
- There is no doubt in my mind now that Thomas Tyner is in elite running back form. Today it was easy to see that he has his groove back. This guy was moving and grooving, with cutbacks, spin moves and burst of speeds much like we witnessed back in University of Oregon’s natty run.
- Elu Aydon was back with the first team defense today. He looks to be back in shape and it's very apparent the defensive line is happy to have him back. With him being in shape and feeling good, it's safe to say that the defensive line will be much improved from last year.
- Darell Garretson split first team offense reps with Jake Luton today. Both QBs failed to land deep shots that were taken today. McMaryion took reps with the second team offense today but outplayed both Garretson and Luton today. McMaryion landed a perfect deep pass to Xavier Hawkins and moved the offense down the field more efficient than either of the Qbs.
- Today as a wholem the offense looked like they struggled a bit. It was the first time I have seen the offense struggle like they did. That being said, getting young guys some experience could really benefit the offense, in particular the offensive line.
- Shawn Wilson is stepping into some big shoes being the other corner to compliment Xavier Crawford. Wilson hasn’t disappointed yet - the kid has a great feel for the game and tipped a pass in the air which was intercepted by Crawford on a big third down. I'm very pleased with Wilson's ability to perform in big time situations.
- Titus Failauga looked like an animal out on the field today. The defensive end couldn’t be stopped when rushing the edge and was too much for the offense to handle today, as he disrupted a handful of pass plays today.
3 Highlight plays from practice
1. Thomas Tyner gashed into the open field and smoked the defense for a 30 yard run breaking 4-5 tackles in the process.
2. Shawn Wilson tipped pass for an interception - it was a pure display of awareness and athleticism it was a play that looks like it belongs on sports centers top ten.
3. Marcus McMaryion avoided two defensive lineman and zipped a perfect pass to Xavier Hawkins for a big gain and a first down on 3rd and long.
