Pac-12 South

ASU's over UCLA guaranteed the Sun Devils will remain in the driver's seat in the Pac-12 South for at least another week. Herm Edwards' squad needs to defeat Oregon on Nov. 17 and take down rival Arizona on Nov. 24 to play for the Pac-12 title. A trip to Levi’s® Stadium would be the program's first — but the Sun Devils did host in the 2013 edition of the FCG.

Thanks to a late rally to take down Oregon, the Utes remain alive in the South race. They need to beat Colorado to finish 6-3 in Pac-12 play. Additionally, the Utes need ASU to fall to either Arizona or Oregon. Utah heads to Colorado next weekend and wraps up the regular season with a non-conference battle vs. BYU.

Kevin Sumlin's squad must wrap up its regular-season slate with wins (at Washington State, hosting Arizona State). The Wildcats also need a little help to reach the FCG; they need need Colorado to beat Utah on Nov. 17.

With loss to Cal on Saturday, USC will not have a chance to defend its Pac-12 title. Even if the Trojans win out to wrap up the regular season, Utah has the tiebreaker thanks to a Oct. 20 win in Salt Lake City.

The Bruins were officially eliminated from a chance to play in the FCG after a 31-28 loss to ASU. UCLA had no margin of error and needed to win out — and get some help from others in the Pac-12 South — to play on Nov. 30.

After falling to Washington State, the Buffs no longer have a chance to play in the Pac-12 champ game. Like UCLA, the Buffs had a narrow chance to advance — but needed to win out to end the 2018 season.

Four-way tie: There is a scenario where the Pac-12 South could wind up in a four-team tie. Utah, USC, ASU and Arizona could all wrap up Pac-12 play with 5-4 records. If that happens, and ASU defeats Arizona in the Territorial Cup on Nov. 24, the Sun Devils will earn a FCG berth. If the Sun Devils fall to Arizona on Nov. 24, Utah would be the South Champion. Reference the multi-team tiebreaking criteria for a better idea at this scenario.

Pac-12 North

The Cougars' win against the Buffs continued an impressive dominance in the Pac-12 North this season. The Cougars — and their rival Huskies — control their own destinies in the North. The road to represent the North in the FCG appears to be on a crash course with the Apple Cup on Friday, Nov. 23

A Week 11 bye didn't hurt the Huskies' chances of returning to the FCG. Washington and Washington State both control their destinies for a bid to retun to Santa Clara.

The Ducks' chances to return to the FCG were dashed Saturday when Washington State captured a 31-7 win in Boulder. Entering Saturday, Oregon could have been eliminated with a loss against Utah or a Washington State win.
