Oregon State had a highly regarded recruit on campus over the weekend as Cocoa (Fla.) RB/ATH Bruce Judson took his official visit.

"It was good; it was lit," Judson said. "I liked it. It's a place that if you don't go and see it for yourself, you'd never know that the place is like that. It's a nice college town. All of your resources are right there. It's a nice, clean town with a lot of things to do. You feel at home with all of the Florida boys there."

Oregon State's recruitment of Judson started very recently. He had interest from the Beavs in early January, and he received the offer last Monday, January 9.

The four-star recruit was scheduled to officially visit Washington State, but he cancelled that visit to check out Corvallis instead.

Judson has a high view of the Beavs' coaching staff.

"I really liked the coaches," Judson said. "Coach Lockette is recruiting me - and coach Andersen. The proof is right there; they have two running backs on scholarship right now (Ryan Nall, Artavis Pierce, but Jaylynn Bailey is also on scholarship) and one commit (TJ Green). They're looking for another running back, so it's either me or these other two recruits that are coming up next week [Calvin Tyler, Kyshaun Bryan].

"They're recrutiing me hard; I talked to coach Andersen this morning, and he told me that he wanted me to join what they have up there."

Judson will receive an in-home visit from coach Lockette on Wednesday. Lockette, a former high school coach in Florida, coached against Judson's current high school in the past. Lockette was able to form a relationship with Judson's head coach, John Wilkinson.

"[Oregon State] is up there. I'm taking a heavy look at Oregon State now," said Judson. "That's one of the schools I pick from."

The 5-foot-9, 184-pounder will officially visit Oregon this weekend and will see either USF or Kentucky the final weekend of January. It will likely be USF, the school that Judson is orally committed to.

"I'm just getting ready for these visits. It's coming down to Signing Day," he said. "We'll see where I can find a home at."

If Judson does choose OSU, then you might see Gary Andersen have a new look.

"They said if I commit, they're all going to wear mustaches," Judson said.
