NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT

• The National Letter of Intent for all intercollegiate sports, except football, began last Wednesday and concludes Nov. 20. All updates on the newest class of Beavers can be found at osubeavers.com or the team’s social media accounts. The football signing period is Dec. 18-Jan. 15 and Feb. 5-April 1.

PRESEASON CHAMPIONS

• Women’s Basketball won the preseason WNIT with victories UC Irvine, Pacific, DePaul, and Missouri State. Mikayla Pivec (Lynnwood, Wash.) was the tournament MVP and Destiny Slocum (Meridian, Idaho) made the all-tournament team.
PAC-12 HONORS

• Women’s Basketball’s Taylor Jones (Forney, Texas) is the league’s Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for the second time this season. She joins Jamie Weisner, Sydney Wiese and Mikayla Pivec as the only Beavers to win the honor more than once.

TEAM USA

• Head Softball Coach Laura Berg has been named one of the 2020 Women’s National Team Assistant Coaches by USA Softball. Berg will help lead the Olympic softball team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games as the sport makes its return to the Games for the first time since 2008, when Berg was an athlete.

FOOTBALL

• Saturday’s game is on Pac-12 Networks with kickoff at 6:10 p.m. Roxy Bernstein, Anthony Herron, and Jill Savage have the call.
• Team is 5-5 and needs one win to be bowl eligible for the first time since 2013 and would be the program’s first winning conference mark since 2012.
• The Beavers have a three-game win streak on the road and haven’t won four away games since 2013 https://tinyurl.com/rtm274r
• The Beavers are one of four teams to be ranked in every Coaches Poll since the end of the 2013-14 season.
• Oregon State will host Beavers Beyond the Classroom on Thursday, as children from around the state are invited to join the team for a special 11 a.m. tip. The Beavers recorded an attendance of over 8,800 last season, and are expecting to surpass that number this year.
• This year’s Beavers Beyond the Classroom will include 43 different schools coming from locations including Tualatin, Sherwood, Monmouth, Eugene, Scio and Newport.
• Kat Tudor (Woodbridge, Calif.) made her return from injury on Thursday. The senior had been out with an ACL injury suffered on Jan. 3.

GYMNASTICS

• The Beavers host the annual Orange & Black Exhibition Friday at 7 p.m. Admission is free. The team will sign autographs following the event.

SOCCER (Men)

• The team finished the season with a record of 8-6-2
• The Beavers finished third in the Pac-12 with a conference record of 5-3-2
• Oregon State has finished conference play above .500 in back-to-back seasons for the first time since the team joined the Pac-10/12.

VOLLEYBALL

• The Beavers have completed the home portion of the season and now will be on the road to finish the final two weeks of the 2019 campaign.
• The team travels to Los Angeles this week to take on USC Thursday at 7 p.m. The match will air live on the Pac-12 Plus Facebook page.
• OSU then faces UCLA on Sunday at 1 p.m. The game will air live on Pac-12 Los Angeles.
• The Beavers took both Arizona State (Friday) and Arizona (Sunday) to five sets last week.
• Haylie Bennett (Philomath) tied her career-high with 22 kills against the Sun Devils and then set a new high with 25 kills against the Wildcats.
• Grace Massey (Beaverton) registered a career-best 33 digs against Arizona on Sunday.

WRESTLING

• The team gears up to head east this week for two high-profile meets against George Mason in Fairfax, Va. on Nov. 21 before competing in the Navy Classic on Nov. 23.
• A total of five wrestlers on the 2019-20 roster are individually ranked on either FloWrestling, TrackWrestling or Intermat. Redshirt junior Devan Turner (Dixon, Calif.) is represented on all three lists at 133 pounds with his highest ranking coming at No. 9 (TrackWrestling).
• Other Beavers ranked include 141-pounder Grant Willits (Pueblo, Colo.), 157-pounder Hunter Willits(Pueblo, Colo.), 149-pounder Logan Meek (Central Point), and 174-pounder Colt Doyle (San Diego).
