RANKINGS
·Men’s Soccer is ranked No. 22 in the preseason poll.
·Cross Country received its highest preseason ranking in school history by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) with a No. 6 ranking in the West Region. The team also made history by receiving votes in the USTFCCA preseason coaches’ poll for the first time ever with 20 votes.

FOOTBALL
·Friday’s game airs on FS1 with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. Justin Kutcher, Petros Papadakis, and Shane Vereen are on the call. Vereen makes his broadcasting debut; he played RB for California and is a current NFL free agent after a lengthy career with the Patriots and Giants.
·The Beavers will be the third-most traveled Power 5 Conference football team in the country at the conclusion of the season. OSU will travel 10,436 miles. Only Arizona and West Virginia will log more miles and of the top 10 Power 5 programs in terms of travel distance, the Pac-12 has eight teams.
·Nine of the 11 FBS teams on the schedule played in bowl games last year.
·It’s the first meeting ever between Oklahoma State and Oregon State in football; the two meet again to open 2020 in Stillwater.
·Oklahoma State opens the season vs. a Pac-12 team for the sixth time in program history; the Cowboys have won the previous five meetings – twice against Washington State, and vs. Washington, Arizona State and UCLA. Four of those wins were as the away team.
·Oklahoma State is the first Big XII team on Oregon State’s regular season schedule since Baylor in 1998 at Reser Stadium – known then as Parker Stadium.
·This season marks the ninth time Oregon State has opened the season in August and the first time it has opened at home since 2015.
·Offensive lineman Blake Brandel has started 36 consecutive games, tied for the 11th most in the FBS.

BASKETBALL (Women)

·Team opens the season Friday with a 7:30 p.m. match with Coastal Carolina followed by a Sunday match vs. Colgate at 5:30 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network.
·Eight of the first nine matches are at OSU’s Lorenz Field; the team does not play a home game in October.
·OSU was predicted to finish third in the Pac-12 coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance last season.
·There are 17 international players on the roster representing Spain, Denmark, England, Canada, and France.
·Sophomores Sofiane Djeffal and Gloire Amanda were both selected to the Pac-12 preseason team.
