This is the first year that the revenue from the Women's Tournament is shared with the conferences like it has been i the Men's Tournament. Teams get one "Unit" for each game they play. In thr Men's Tournament each unit is worth about $2M - the NCAA will decide the amount for the women after the tournament but estimates say it will be around $100K per unit for this first year and increasing each of the next few years.
The WCC has a formula for sharing out the funds received from the Men - the conference divides the first unit of tournament revenue equally among the members but gives the teams a larger portion of any additional units they generate by winning games so it woulf be nice if we could win a couple of games (assuming the same formula would be applied).
