ORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State’s 2017-18 non-conference men’s basketball schedule includes seven games at Gill Coliseum, one in Portland and a tournament in Orlando, Fla., head coach Wayne Tinkle announced Wednesday.

“We are excited to announce our non-conference schedule for the upcoming season,” Tinkle said. “It’s a challenging schedule that includes a lot of home games. Coming off the season that we had, we are happy to be healthy and have a complete roster. It’s going to be exciting to see these guys take the court in preparation for Pac-12 play.”

The season officially begins on Friday, Nov. 10 when Oregon State takes on Southern Utah at Gill Coliseum. The Beavers will host Wyoming on Monday, Nov. 13 and Long Beach State on Saturday, Nov. 18 before flying to Orlando to compete in the AdvoCare Invitational.

The bracket-format tournament features 12 games over three days (Nov. 23, Nov. 24 and Nov. 26). The two teams that remain undefeated will face off in the championship game on Sunday, Nov. 26 at 9:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. PT) on ESPN2.

The game will be televised on ESPNU. The Beavers will play either Long Beach State or Missouri in the second game on Friday, Nov. 24. The final game of the tourney will come against a team from the opposite side of the bracket, consisting of Marist, Nebraska, UCF and West Virginia.

“The AdvoCare Invitational has a loaded field and it’s going to be big-time competition for our guys.” Tinkle said. “We are hoping to play teams in the preseason that will prepare us for league and ultimately postseason in March.”

After the AdvoCare Invitational, Oregon State returns to Gill Coliseum for four games – Saturday, Dec. 2 vs. Loyola Marymount; Tuesday, Dec. 5 vs. Eastern Kentucky; Saturday, Dec. 9 vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff; and Tuesday, Dec. 12 vs. Jacksonville State.

The Beavers will play in Portland for the third consecutive year when they take on Saint Louis as part of a doubleheader with the Oregon State women’s basketball team in the Dam City Classic presented by your local Toyota Dealers.

“We are thrilled to play in Portland again and thank Beaver Nation in that area for all of their support,” Tinkle said. “It’s exciting to host a doubleheader with our women’s basketball program that will make for a great weekend in Portland.”

The final non-conference game will be a true road contest at Kent State in Kent, Ohio on Wednesday, Dec. 21.
