vs. LONG BEACH STATE: Oregon State and Long Beach State meet for the sixth time with the 49ers leading the series, 3-2.

The teams played last year, on Dec. 16, at the Dam City Classic at Moda Center in Portland, Long Beach State won, 71-67, in a game that came down to the final seconds. Drew Eubanks and Stephen Thompson Jr. led the Beavers with 17 points apiece. Evan Payne scored 19 to lead the 49ers.

The teams first played on Dec. 8, 1990, which Oregon State won 75-72 at the Illini Classic in Champaign, Ill. They had a home-and-home in 1995-1996 with Long Beach State winning both (65-54 in Corvallis and 68-56 in Long Beach, Calif.). The other meeting came on Nov. 25, 2000 at the Big Island Invitational in Hilo, Hawai'i, which the Beavers won, 78-66.

2018 RECRUITING CLASS: Oregon State's 2018 class includes Kylor Kelley, a 7-foot, 215-pound forward from Logan, Utah, Warren Washington, a 6-foot-11, 210-pound forward from San Marcos, Calif., and Jack Wilson, a 7-foot, 230-pound center from Half Moon Bay, Calif.

"We are very excited to announce our 2018 class," Oregon State head coach Wayne Tinkle said. "We are adding size, depth and talent to our frontline with the addition of these three players. This is our fourth recruiting class that really brings balance and depth at every position, and is very encouraging for our program moving forward."
