CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State gymnastics' Jade Carey is set to compete in the 2024 National Collegiate Women's Gymnastics Championships this week at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Competing as an individual, she will rotate with the Florida Gators in Session II on Thursday night, slated for 6 p.m. PST on ESPN2.

BACK FOR MORE: Now in her third season as a Beaver, 2024 marks the third-consecutive year that Carey will compete in the NCAA Championship. Last season, she finished as the runner-up on balance beam after finishing runner up on bars and finishing fourth in the all-around as a freshman.

PERFECTION: Becoming the 13th gymnast to ever record a gym slam during the 2023 season, Carey saved the best for last in 2024 and has posted perfect 10s in each of her last two meets, both on floor exercise; entering the NCAA Championships, she has 11 career 10s to her name: two on vault, two on bars, one on beam and six on floor.

Carey has also been perfect with her hit percentage as a collegiate gymnast, as she's hit on each of her 145 routines at Oregon State thanks to a 48-48 freshman season, 55-55 as a sophomore and 42-42 this season.

FOR CONFERENCE AND REGION: Even after a strong regular season, Carey has turned it up a notch in postseason competition. At this year's Pac-12 Championships, she posted her first perfect 10 of the season on the way to being named Champion on Floor while using a 9.950 on the bars to earn Co-Champion honors. That momentum continued into OSU's regional, where Carey posted yet another perfect 10 on the floor to win one of her three Regional Championships, also adding titles on the bars and beam.

RECOGNITION: For her performances this season, Carey has earned a long list of recognition. After winning multiple Pac-12 weekly awards throughout the season, she was named First Team All Pac-12 on the bars and was an Honorable Mention selection on beam, soon adding a WCGA First Team Bars All-American to her list of accolades.

FLYING: The bars proved to be arguably Carey's strongest event this season. With three 9.975s across 13 appearances, she finished the year with 11 scores of 9.900 or higher and has finished with at least a 9.900 in each of her last nine appearances.

RECORD BREAKER: With all her success on the apparatuses, Carey enters the NCAA Championships with 23 event titles to her name this season. Lucky number 23, set during the regional competition in Fayetteville, Ark., put her at 117 as an Oregon State Beaver, which surpassed Chari Knight's 116 to set a new program record; Carey finished with 48 event titles as a freshman and 46 as a sophomore.

9.900: Jade Carey has completed 42 routines in the 2024 season and finished with a 9.900 or higher 27 times. With 47 9.900 or higher scores in 2023 and 46 in 2022, she is now up to 120 across 142 career routines.
