First, the defense dominated like they should. It's the best tackling I've seen in the first game for years. Lots of pressure on the QB.
Second. I don't think there is a debate on who should be the starting QB. It's Collins by a moon shot. I think the team now knows it and has to play to his weaknesses and strengths.
Third. The OLine needs to get better in a hurry. I"m sorry NorthBend, Mitchell got killed in the first half. Maybe the DLine wore down in the second half, but that's not gonna work for the rest of the year. Seumalo didn't look like the guy we used to know. Maybe it will take a while. The right side of the line couldn't get any push.
Fourth. It's nice to see Chris Brown get some carries. He's no longer an also ran. Haskins looked dejected on the bench. He may transfer soon as I don't think short powerful runners will work in this offense.
Finally. I'm hoping the receivers don't get too frustrated. Sure, Bolden and Villamin had some opportunities. I wonder what Jarmon and Smith are thinking. I think Collins had shown he can throw a nice ball. He just needs to spread it around.
