From OSU SID who asked that I share with you all...
Welcome Back To Goss Stadium
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The fourth-ranked Oregon State baseball team has spent the first three weeks of the season away from Goss Stadium at Coleman Field. The Beavers are back in the best college town in the Pac-12 and are excited to open their home slate Friday night in the first contest of a three-game series against San Francisco.
One of the finest ballparks in the nation, Goss Stadium, which is the best home field advantage in the Pac-12 Conference, is ready to welcome Beaver Nation. As the season approaches, we’d like to give you a quick refresh on what Goss Stadium has to offer, with some new amenities awaiting:
That’s a Big Screen TV! – The Pac-12’s newest videoboard is also its largest. In fact, thanks to research from Arkansas, the videoboard at Goss Stadium is the fifth largest in the nation. It’s ready for prime time. Read more about the big board via this link.
Enjoy Responsibly– Last season, we unveiled the popular Banners. Located down the third-base line, Banners serves food, beer and wine. This season, beer and wine sales, for those 21 and older, will be available throughout all of Goss Stadium, except in the right field bleachers. Fans can purchase beer and wine at Banners and down the first base line and bring it back to their seats. Sales will be discontinued at the conclusion of the seventh inning.
Great Food, More Locations – Levy, which services Gill Coliseum and Reser Stadium, in addition to the Moda Center, will be in its first year as the concessionaire provider for Oregon State baseball. How about “The Out Of The Park Burger,” featuring bacon, peanut butter, bread and butter pickles, lettuce, tomato and cheddar cheese? Then there’s the “No Hitter Nacho” with your choice of chicken or pork served in a souvenir batting helmet. And don’t take a chance at missing out on the “Bullpen Buffalo Chicken Sandwich” or the “Batter Up Burger.” Find Levy concession stands down the first and third base lines and behind home plate at the front entrance of the stadium.
Honoring the 10th Anniversary of the 2006 National Champions – Ten seasons ago, the Beavers won the first of two consecutive national championships. The 2006 team will be honored during the Beavers’ series with Washington, April 1-3. Read more about what to expect that weekend at the following link.
Ticket Sales On Gameday – The Goss Stadium ticket office will open two hours before first pitch on each home gameday. Follow @Beaver_Baseball and @BeaverTickets.com on Twitter for updates about each game’s ticket availability. Student tickets will be available for pickup down the third base line at gate 6 starting two hours prior to first pitch.
Single-Game Tickets – Single-game tickets for the entire 2016 season are now on sale. Tickets can be purchased by visiting BeaverTickets.com, in person at Gill Coliseum or calling (800) GO-BEAVS. The ticket office at Gill Coliseum is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Standing Room Only in Center – Last year’s addition of standing room only seats in center field continues. Fans wishing to stand in these areas must have a wristband (first come first serve) and may not utilize coolers or chairs.
Best Home Field Advantage – Goss Stadium has continually been the Pac-12 Conference’s best home field advantage, and one of the top in the nation. That’s due in large part to one of the top fanbases in the country. Beaver Nation, we look forward to seeing you at Goss Stadium this season. Get ready. Be loud. And have fun!
