CORVALLIS – Oregon State’s annual Family Fun Day kicks off Friday, August 12 at Reser Stadium at 5 p.m. The free event coincides with the first football scrimmage of the preseason.
The football team will take the field for the actual scrimmage at 5:30 p.m., followed by an autograph session. The critically acclaimed movie "Remember The Titans," sponsored by Paventy and Brown Orthodontics, will be shown on the video board immediately following the autograph session. Inflatable games will be set up after the scrimmage, and posters and schedule cards will be available. Fans are encouraged to bring blankets to sit on during the movie and following to take part in the 2016 football intro video that will be played prior to the team entering the stadium.
Beaver Nation should enter via the east side of Reser Stadium with normal gameday procedures for accessing the facility in place. Concessions will be available for purchase.
The crew from Pac-12 Network will be taping its Oregon State Football Training Camp show from Reser Stadium during the day and it makes its initial airing at 10 p.m. that evening. Expert analysis from the team of Mike Yam, Yogi Roth and Nigel Burton will provide an inside look at the Beavers, including a tour with head coach Gary Andersen through the soon-to-be-completed 53-yard locker room. Also included in the show will be interviews with coordinators Kevin Clune and Kevin McGiven, and student-athletes Ryan Nall, Victor Bolden, Jr., Jordan Villamin, Darell Garretson and Caleb Saulo.
Pac-12 Network will also host a “meet and greet” at Sky High Brewing in Corvallis with Yam and Roth from 8:30-10 p.m. There will be giveaways, a raffle for a pair of tickets to the home opener and Orange Passes for The Terrace.
In addition, fans interested in singing the National Anthem at an OSU event this season are welcomed to audition between 2:30-4:30 p.m. at Reser Stadium. Interested singers are asked to access the stadium through gate A or B and go to the field level.
